Ilka Silveira, Creative Director of Ilkadora, was born in Spain in 1978. She grew up there and graduated with a BA (Hons) in Fashion Design in 2000.

She embarked immediately on a new and exciting venture in London, one of the most inspiring fashion meccas in the world, and after further studies at Central Saint Martins, was hired by some of the most prestigious British Fashion Houses such as Jenny Packham and Karen Nichols. There, she created pieces for celebrities including Liz Hurley, Nelly Furtado, Eva Longoria, Beyonce, and fashion designers such as Chloe, Mathew Williamson, John Rocha, Clements Ribeiro, and Julien McDonald.

Ilka was never one to rest on her laurels, and at the same time she travelled the world searching for new ideas and exploring the unexplored. She discovered that fashion has no limits; it’s a question of style, confidence, passion for what you do and the desire to make people feel special. Her love for fashion and beauty and her thirst for innovation fired her with enthusiasm for the next step – the creation of her own fashion label with which to make our dreams come true. And so Ilkadora was born.
